I'm going, got my rooms already!(have found there are always rooms when you get there) NAFA meet is a blast for two reasons, lots of game and lots of good people. I missed 2003 Went to Garden City, Kansas and had a blast, game everywhere! "I was there" in Vernal, Utah different type of hunting but lots of game! Kearney, Nebraska will make 2004/2005 look like a picnic in the park when it comes to game. I have a friend that lives about 30 miles north of Kearney and he's telling me every week how many phesants he sees dead on the road. They only die on the road if they are too heavly populated and are pushing(roosters) each other around. He also said the rabbits are like fleas, he doesn't fly a bird but is a gun hunter so he keeps an eye on these sorts of things. Quail numbers are high too, problem is you'll see 20 phesants before you bust a covey of quail. I'm taking both my JRT's because he said the phesants run the fence rows just as fast as rabbits and only fly when they have too. NAFA meet is a good way to start a new bird too, trap in Oct, man and train maybe hunt a few weeks then NAFA comes along and you can fly a new bird hard and catch lots of stuff with good Falconers around to show you the ropes. If you have to mow lawns and scrub dishes to go this year I would, what ever it takes you need to get to this years NAFA meet!

so can you get a room when you get up there or what In the world of the traveler (I travel alot) what happens is people over book and reserve too many rooms ahead of time. After everyone gets there and the dust settles the hotels see they have pleanty of rooms that were not taken. I've been able to get a room the last two years the day I showed up. This year I reserved a room just because when I called they had a room open for the week. Michael Beran

I might be there, it'll just depend on how things go, mainly because my 18 B-day will be during the meet this year and idk what my parents will think about that.

Will try to be there for the first couple of days anyway. Right now we have so many people out on injury and sick leave it hard to rearrange vacation. Also not completely sure what I'll be flying. I've been offered a Cooper's but I'll probably trap a new redtail. Kurt
