Oh the safty issue I was thinking of was being able to teather the hawk saftly to it.

I use a bow perch with a center support rod and it spikes right into the ground. Cost 40.00 dollars at the local welding shop. Don't forget to take your large round ring with you ha ha. and have it placed on the bow portion of the perch. I use sisel rope on the perch she seems to prefer that in her mew compared to the plastic astro turf.

I use a bow perch and I like it alot its a good safe perch all around.

Last week I drew up a sketch of the style bow-perch I wanted, gave it to the welder at work, and bam! Picked up my free bowperch yesterday. ;D
I think I'll pick up a case of beer for the guy. He did a great job.
