I would get one just because chicks think block perches are sexy! oh ya, the tall hardwood ones really get us going....

Proof is in the pudding! It got Minca all hot and bothered.....Hell, I'll take two so I can put one either side of the bed at night......If it doesn't make the wife randy, then at least I can defend myself from the attack with a good piece of wood.

For those who have falcons or use a block perch, which style do you prefer, the traditional large block of tapered hardwood or the more modern flat “disk” style with a thin post / rod? Also, which is most versatile, a weighted base or a stainless spike base?
I have access to a fair amount of scrap Corian here at work and have been kicking around the idea of making a couple different designs of block perches but wanted a couple of opinions on which style is most used/preferred before I stick a ton of time into something no one uses.

All of the perches I have played with the weighted base is the way I am going. I can put it in the yard or the house. The spike is outside only unless your wife is a Falconer as well ;D
