My favorite book is The redtailed hawk by Liam j. McGranaghan if you dont have it get it I learned alot by reading it. It tells you everything you need to know and more.

This one is good. The Falconer's Apprentice A guide to training the passage Red-tailed Hawk. Its really good it tell you everything from training to capture what you need to do before and after you trap how to trap the incorrect and correct way to do thing.

I just finished Morley Nelsons biography type book. it was good nothing about how to train or anything but about his life and what he did for out sport it is great.

Guys if you want a red tail that will hunt its heart out get Brewers book and put the other red tail books on the shelf. IMHO

It's about squirrelhawking, but his chapters on trapping, housing, training, and troubleshooting are worth the price for anyone who plans on flying a Red Tail. Plus, it's an enjoyable read.
The new book might be out later this year.

hey wilded I got brewers book in the mail today along with some of his chaps, it is a good book from what Ive read. Is he your sponcer or something like that?

Wow!! I didn't see North American Falconry And Hunting Hawks mentioned once!! I thought for sure that'd be the first one mentioned!! Stay on topic fellas (Sheesh, I'm not even a mod ) My copy of NAFAHH should FINALLY be here soon.

I thought the thread was on topic. Not every book that should have been mentioned is on here yet. Now you brought up a good book. How about a book report when you finish it grasshopper. And by the way it is the FIRST book mentioned under the Apprentice reading section.
