Has anyone ever heard of turkey hunting with a raptor? I was just curious, I know people take pheasants and waterfowl.

Someone at the NAFA meet took a turkey with their bird...Not sure what kind of bird it was though.

On another board I read about a Finn. Gos doing it. I would love to try it with a big RT.

I would be afraid the bird would end up diving on a hen instead of a gobbler, if hens weren't legal to take then what? ;D

Leave it in the field rule ;D
I don't know, some turkeys are mean suckers. I'd be nervous to send a bird at one...

When my brother was involved in falconry he had a MHH that bound to a hen. The turkey almost killed his bird. Gobblers around here can go 24 lbs and have 1 1/2 inch spurs. Don't think I'd want anything short of a Golden to fly at one. Kurt

A falconer I know had one of his birds bind to two different turkeys during one season alone. Don't know if it was able to hold them or not. -Joe
