Any one ever flown one? Ive heard they are hard to work with, my sponcer breeds alot of different species and I think they all are really cool his eagle owls are huge if they could be trained then I bet they would be deadly on fox. He also has the snowys you cant find a much prettier bird. I heard that owls are lazy and dont like to work for a living, any thoughts on them as falconry birds. The way I was told you have to fly alot of different ones before you get a decent one.

A buddy of mine hunts a GHO on Squirrels and Rabbits and she is very cool. In fact they are suprisingly very fast. Just imagine a 1500+g Harris hawk (not as manuverable though but just as fast in my opinion although they do latter up a tree like a helicopter (straight up)). VERY COOL!

Someone I know here in the United Arab Emirates (Ken Riddle) has an young eagle owl that he has had since egg-bound. The owl's mother was shot not so far away from here. Ken is a master falconer who has played a major role in this country's falconry programs. He plans to fly the eagle owl, but I'm not sure what he's going to hunt yet. I'm eager to see the bird in action. Ken used to fly great horned owls at rabitts as a teenager, and apparently the bird was very effective! This eagle owl is the biggest baby you have ever seen! Later.

I have a GHO and she has caught game, She is hard hunt with sometimes . But usually she is really great just like a red tail . I've had several great squirell chase with her rabbit chase. I want A EEO. I have a friend who had a GHO and caught squirells and rabbits with his Owl . I had got the Owl due to my work hours sometimes it was really getting to close to dark to fly a redtail or a falcon so the owl worked out great it could be 9:00 at night and i take her outside and worked with her . she has been real fun. Could you let me know who raises EEO that you know .I want to get one this year.. Don
