Today I was watching a harrier float around a field by my house they fly so slow and awkward they remind me of a seagull. The harrier is also known as the marsh hawks since their preference to low marshy areas, but I have seen them in grown up fields and in planted fields. They are skinny hawks that have very large wings, another neat trait of these birds is they hunt mostly by sound which they use to hunt for mice, birds and outher small animals. I have never heard of one used in falconry I believe it is due to their hunting style and slow manner of flying.
