Have the feds been notified as they can trace the band # since they have it on file? Did the bird have any falconry gear on it or could it be a wild bird that was banded? Is the band silver, black or gold?

Sometimes the state officials can be more efficient (faster) at finding that info. When we found the HH in TX the state got back t us within hours with the owners info...that is assuming the bird belngs to a local falconer.

Took it to Fish and game this A.M..so hopefully they will notify the owner. Band number indicates it was a falconry bird. It was a gold band and it was seamless..the F&G officer said it was put on when the bird was small. I'd just be interested to find out if the bird was local or escaped and migrated in...??
Thanks.
