Some type of falcon/hawk was spotted today along I-84 in NY, near Danbury CT. He crossed the highway and was attempting to hunt in the median area.
My husband spotted the jesses on its legs as it swooped past his bus. He reported the sighting to the CT State Police. They may have more information.
Sorry I don't have a better description of the bird but I thought I'd at least put the word out in case someone is looking for a lost bird.
