Today, January 22, 2007 is the second time I have spotted this Golden Eagle that has jesses on it's legs. I saw it a few weeks ago in a territorial battle over my house w/ two Bald eagles. I live in the Black Hills of South Dakota and am a total raptor lover.
Within 24 hours of the first sighting, someone from Pennsylvania called my falconry friend. This person had lost his Golden back in March 2006 while hunting. If someone knows who the man in PA is with the Golden Eagle license CONTACT ME!!!
He'd told my friend how to signal the bird down and now that I've spotted this eagle again, I'm going to prepare to call it down! My friend has a mews and all the gloves so we can capture the bird.
I just need the licensed owner to contact me asap!!!

I do know a falconer in pa and he did lose a eagle in march of 06. i called him today and he said if you trap the eagle and it is his he would of course drive out in a heart beat to get it. he did say that there were 2 other eagles lost last year so it could be one of those. so let me know if you do trap the bird or if you get any other info you can pm me he would love to get his bird back!
