What's people's procedures/daily routine for taking your Red Tail through the first moult??

I personaly try to handle the bird every day in a routine for feeding weighing etc. It helps out a great deal for the start of the next season to not have to re-train the bird from scratch.

I agree with Weasel !
I always feed from the fist , never just give to them with out personal contact ! For me , I find there a much better bird when you start preparing for the new session!

Pick the bird up every day and hood every day if I can. Keep her where she can see day to day stuff in the yard. Letting a bird go completely wild will really set you back time wise and ad to your stress in the fall. May not need to complete all meals on the fist, but it's a good idea to begin them there.
