If you are like me....It wont matter. I only had a day or 2 left to trap, so I took the first passage I trapped. I have been around both and they are good birds. Mine is a large male but I have friends who have only flown females. What do you want to hunt?

Ive found a RT fling in the mid to low 900s (trap weight usually in the 1000-1100 range) tend to be better suited for about anything you throw at them. There small enough to be fast and ariel and large enough to be able to handle even the biggest bunny. But reguardless if your gonna fly squirrels make sure they have meaty feet. A small slender footed male is as prone to nasty bites from squirrels as a Harris.

I completely agree with you on that mark. If you're gonna hunt squirrels the beefy feet is practically a requirement. Right now down here in Stephenville we have squirrels everywhere while I've discovered only a few bunny spots. I personally am hoping for a large female but like ccrobins I will be trapping late so it's really up in the air and if those Cold fronts EVENTUALLY come down lol (you can tell I want to go trapping real bad)
