Without looking it up, who knows who Fredrick the second is? Who knows what De Arte Vanandi is? Just thought i'd ask cause we should know right? I don't know if i spelled the book correctly but we all get the drift. If you have read it, where can i get a copy?

Actually he was the Pope as well. He was the first of the "modern day falconers" and his book still has a lot of great stuff in it. The book was translated into english and you can usually pick up a copy for around $150 - $250/copy, if and when you can find them available. I got mine from a former falconer. I do think there are some available on amazon right now though. -Joe

Actually, I was lucky enough to pick up a copy of McElroy's DH2 about 3 months ago off of Raptor's nest. Pretty good read, although it will be much more applicable next year when I turn general and can get a passage coops. -Joe
