Mr. Brewer says the squirrels like the shiny, and it'll detract their attention away from the toes...

Good idea about the zip ties, I have been using standard black. I will have to get me a bag of the yellow.

i have worked that out as well i use yellow ones and there seems to be bites on and around wear i have the zip Tye's
