Hey everyone, I've been doing alot of research latley trying to find some falconers in my area to go hawking with. I've read alot of the advice about joining the local clubs and what-not, but I thought I would run it by everyone on the forum before I spent money on joining a club/org.
I look forward to some positive feedback that will help me hit the ground running on the path to hunting alongside one of the most beautiful types of animals on the planet.
Thanks for your time, Greg ;D

No matter how disorderly, or totally awesome, teeny or gigantic, your states club may be, it ALWAYS a good idea to join. It gives you a way to connect with other falconers, which is pretty much the only way to get involved, since you need to convince someone to sponsor you. And hooking up with a few falconers, going hawking with them and "showing" your interest, not just talking about it, is the best way to get sponsored. What part of AZ do you live? I live just northwest of Safford, and there are quite a few of us around the Phoenix area. There's a Fall Meet in Sonoita next month, a great way to meet people.
