I trapped and decided to keep a female red shoulder. Don't seem to find many people with experience with them. Anyone on this forum flown one?

I wanted to when I lived in TX, but then I moved to AZ.. All I know is what I've heard. There was a guy in Florida that took one rabbit and one duck with one, but it was a really aggressive face grabber, as if it were an imprint coopers tho it was passage. And someone else told me their friend had been watching one take grackles in his backyard regularly. I'd like to be able to follow how yours goes, maybe you could set up a blog or something?

Minca I would, but I wouldn't know where to start to set up a blog. As far as the face grabbing I have not had a problem with that yet.

Down here someone trained one and was almost as fast as a coops but not as fast in the initial 10 feet. Very good alternative for a coops, much tamer and very agressive towards prey. Somewhere I read it was the accipiter of the buteos.

The only complaint that I have heard, (I have no experience with them myself) is that they have small feet and hunt small animals mostly. But anyone who has had success with a kestrel can tell you that they can take game when they want.
