Well, I am releasing my bird here in about an hour. She is fat and content so I plan on driving a bit south of the metroplex and finding a nice field bordered with tree's for her. May she make lots more big RT's in the future.... Cheers, The Weasel

Trapping a harris next season Well, She is gone now. I released her about a half hour south of the metroplex. I found a big parking lot bordered by fields with trees in them. I released her and she immediatly flew to one of the trees and got mobbed by about ten crows....She circled into the sky and went with the strong wind headed southeast....

Keep hanging out with your friends and it will be here b4 you know it. We'll keep you entertained until then. Meanwhile you can hunt down that coops nest for nest spring to take an eyas. That ought to keep you busy for a while.

Oh Yarak....You knew...... ;D The weather was perfect for a release yesterday with great thermal conditions and a strong wind to carry her away. It was strange to see her fly off with no bells ringing........

I released Rosie today. I'm putting it here simply because i don't feel like starting a new thread about it . I'm starting my new job tomarrow full time, so I figured I may as well since I won't have as much time on my hands. What gets me is that fattened up and fed up over trap weight the little b**ch did everything that I've been trying to get her to do for the past four months!! Since she's such a carrier I decided to give her a road munchie to carry away with her, a 15 gram chunck of quail. What does she do? Anklets cut and completely free she starts to eat it right there on my arm! So I literally grabbed it from her and tossed it on the ground, and she dropped down to it. I figured, as usual, walking towards her would cause her to carry it off. Nope! She turned towards me and folded her wings up like "you wanna share?" NOW she starts behaving! Fed up above trap weight! So I picked her up with her food and tossed her up into the trees. She drops it on her way up. I pick it up off the ground and try to call her back down to it. Nope, had enough, see ya in the next life! All I know is my next bird better be at least somewhat mentally sane! Grrrrrrr!

Weasle,
Welp...I realize I'm a bit late (was out of town fly-fishing for 8 days ;D) but I wanted to say good going on giving Circe back to the breeding pool.
Sept 15th will be here before you know it...
Lee
Oh, I dig your Shakespeare line...very cool stuff.
