My wife found a young hawk. It was either injured/fallen/lost or all of the above. It appears old enough or almost old enough to fly. We took it to vet, who did not take it in, but gave us some meds and told my wife to feed it raw hamburger meet. It does eat the meat, seems to sleep alot, with it's head turned around and burried. Seems pretty calm. We live in Costa Rica so the chances of finding an expert to take him is pretty remote. Can some please help me understand how to car for this bird? I think its what they call a Gavilan.
