On October 3 at 1200 spotted a hawk wearing jesses and bells at Indipendence Rock state park south west of Casper Wy.
Looked like a Harris Hawk. Was a dark colored bird with a big white patch on its back side. Very tame and probablly very hungry. Dont know how well it can hunt with bells on and it will not survive the Wyoming winter.
Reported to Wyoming Fish & Game BUT they are right in the middle of big game hunting season and super busy. Hope someone with experience in the area can go try and call it in before it dies.
