grommets 101

:-/Hi All,
Probably a silly newbie question, but anyone have trouble setting grommets on anklets with setter pliers?
I messed up like 3 in a row. I finally got a set but it's ugly. I need to make a new pair of anklets and try again. Anyone have any tips?-Thanks,Tim

.Try reversing your grommets so stem is opposite stem in the pliers. Thats about the only thing that it can be unless the tips are off center. Kurt

I have only had problems with the hammer method. The pliers work great.
