Hey Lad,
I'm training my third HH, a passage bird I trapped in Arizona this past Oct. The two Captive Bred birds I trained where gems and would put up with just about anything I asked of them.
You shouldn't worry about stressing them too much, I keep my birds in training in the house in front of the TV 24/7 with the volume just loud enough so as not to wake me but enough to keep the bird alert.
