I am thinking of buying some live farm raised game birds, phesant, quail, others and having some of my friends with birds bring their birds over to hunt them. when i buy them and release them for the hunt does it need to be in season for the bird since they are bought? or do they fall under the same rules as wild birds? This is in texas where I plan on doing this. d**n the icons love to drink dont they

You will need a gamebird breeders license to ensure that all the gamebirds you release are properly banded and recorded or you have to do it in season to be 100 percent legal.
