NAFA Membership

I have been having real problems getting my membership. I have spoken to three members, and they all say they will check on it. I have been trying to get my membership since the beginning of summer. Is this the norm. I heard NAFA was unorganized but this is unreal. I have e-mailed NAFA 3 times about this with no answer. The last email I got rude and still no response. I would like to be a member, but about to say screw it. Can any one help?

that's one of the reasons I haven't joined yet. I've heard similar stories before. I've been told that people like me "should" join so that we can help improve things, make a difference, vote better people in so things can improve. But that's kinda hard to do if you just can't get in. I'm hoping things will change after this recent election. Then I'll join.

I found out there is an officer change going on. Go to the wesite and email the pres. He is helping me out.

If some one was rude, I would like to see it for my self !
I have never known any of the board to be rude in response to new membership request, membership renewal or other matters .

Please be patient !
All old membership renewals have, for the most part, been done a couple months ago.
If it's been over 90 days ( NEW MEMBERSHIP ) contact your NAFA sponsor and let him know your still waiting .

May apprentice let me know he is still waiting !
BUT he turned his papers in to the NAFA Membership Sec. by hand, instead of mailing it to the NEW MEMBERSHIP sec. so I already foresaw delays to his membership .
The NAFA MS sec assured my apprentice, along with a couple others that did the same, that steps are being taken to handle the matter ASAP.

There are some changes that may delay processing time !
Membership Secretary is stepping down because he feels he does not have sufficient time to perform the required duties to the highest standards, as they should be done. This may effect the new membership applications as duties have to be rerouted to other members i.e. NEW MEMBERSHIP sec. ?? tell a ( new ) Membership sec. can be appointed.
This is already being done !!
