Hey Dustin,
Only a few are flying right now. Krys started flying Turbo a week and a half ago and she is kicking butt!!!!! I think we should be out hawking by October. Still kinda hot to hawk right now and LOTS of cover!
And some of us have to trap birds first ;D
Michael, you will be in FW this weekend? We need to all get together!

Man, I'd like to come out and say hi to ya Michael and beat the brush, but, except for Saturday morning, I will be working. Friday I have to close too, so no early morning for me.

So what are you going to do when you have your own bird? Sleep in or get up and go hunt? My girlfriend will even get up early to go trapping or hunting. You missed a good time. Brandy however is right (and that does not happen very often) the hunting conditions SUCK right now. Temps still in the 90s coupled with chest high cover from all the rain make hunting no fun. We did however triple on Sat afternoon with 2 bunnies and a bird. Also trapped a nice passage male RT that morning.

I have time to go hunt were I live no problem, but there are problems with driving 50 miles to go hunt when I have to work or get off work. Plus this past weekend I just got really screwed over in time.

Plus this past weekend I just got really screwed over in time. Dude, Sunday I drove 500 miles and hunted in 5 different states. Monday I drove another 470 miles and hunted, today I drove 500 miles and hunted in 3 different states. I drive a lot for the big bucks but I make time to hunt. I have to drive 200 miles to come hunt with the TOD, but it's worth it! 50 miles is only 40 mins, next time I better see your Falconry glove there! Michael Beran

40 minutes! are you joking? takes me an hour to get to the normal rondevu point for the TODH hunts.
Sorry it's been awhile since I posted, but I've been spending all my time out looking for a passage hen.
So how about now, are the TODH out hunting again?

Now by early morning you mean noon right? I remeber how you guys are... We have never met at noon, even in the coldest weather. The latest we got going last year was 10 am. We do what we have to do to get out and fly our birds. Our lives revolve around our birds. If you want to come out this weekend we are starting at 7 AM Sat at Whataburger in Saginaw. Again that is 7 AM as in morning.

Thanks a lot to the "Texas Outlaw Dithawkers", Abby got her first rabbit of the season. It was a great weekend. Brandi's bird was a treat to watch as she took 3 bunnies. First time I got to see a cast of 5 Harris's, that was interesting to see. Turbo Dog was as expected a feather killing machine. Krys, thank you so much for opening your house to me and my wife and it was a joy and a lot of fun to hang with you guys. Hope to do it again soon.
