Welcome! Scotland…one of those places I intend to visit before I am 6’ under <VBG> I got as far as London (honeymoon 12 yrs ago) and will return to that side of the pond one of these days.
I couldn’t help but notice your “name” I take it you are a waterfowler as well? I did a ton of waterfowling, decoy carving, etc until I started getting consumed by the Falconry bug…being from the States we have never had the privilege of Punt-gunning here but I am a die-heard layout hunter and have spent most of diver hunting days flat on my back in the waters of Lake Michigan.

.....So, basicly it's a little boat with one big a** gun(cannon) mounted to the front to shoot waterfowl.......Sounds like it should be quite fun to shoot the gun anyways.

My grandfather besides being a police officer did some market hunting, My dad told me stories about using a small boat with a 2" pipe charged with black powder and shot over an area baited with corn, sounds like the same thing. Kurt
