So many falconers i see now use different types of Jesse's and all swear by each. I must confess i like the bullet Jesse but only one that i have adapted and the Braided for tethering all though for field meets on occasions.
Leather is good as well but i seem to get a little worried in case they get too worn so end up replacing before i really need too.

During the moult I use para cord jesses, but during the hunting season, I keep his leather hunting jesses in all the time.

I prefer leather mainly. But use different types of jesses and anklets. At the moment for my saker just aylmeri anklets and jesses with it. For some spar i have now I use false aylmeri. From that you have several types, but mine are some 10 cm or so with at one side (the legs) the really traditional attachement. Then at the other end some eyelet like on normal aylmeri. Through that the jesses but shorter of course since the false aylmeri already has some lenght. When i go hunting i will probably replace the short jesses in the false aylmeri for field jesses
