What size grommets should be used on anklets for a RT?

i use 2 grommets on my anklets. a size 1 on bottom (3/8) and a size 00 on top. this takes the twisting out of the anklet and gives you more to work with for bells and transmitters. it also makes your anklet taller giving your bird more protection from bates and quarry.

Rage Two gormmets may work well for you but it also increases the chances of a talon getting cought on them .
K]n I've seen an edu. Baldie get it's halux through the grommet before. It was a single grommet, I believe, but the anklets had stretched to hang as far away from the leg as a removeable anklet with two grommets might be. They had to cut it off to get the talon out, and replaced both anklets. I can just imagine the kind of damage the toe/foot could sustain if the bird were left with it's talon in the grommet for too long.

I like the smaller 5/16" size, works great if you use nylon jesses.
