I am thinking about buying one of these new hoods advertised on Raptor nest. It is made out of some injection molded plastic or something similar. He guarantee's that they will fit right. They look like they are a dutch style.

I dabble in hood making and while I love nice leather work and craftsmanship I have to admit those hoods look pretty dang nice. What does he charge for them and do you know if he does hoods for larger birds, i.e. RT’s, etc? Maybe I’ll let you order one and then see how you like it before I spend my cash ;D

I beleive that he makes these hood for any size bird. He charges $50 each

He was at the Utah sky trials with some of these hoods. They look sharp, are super light and I thought weren't a bad buy for the $$. As far as I can remember he flew a coop or a sharpie, I didn't see any bigger hoods but I think he said he had all sizes.

I'm flat broke at the moment and more than likelly will be for awhile now so I can't say when it will be that I order one.......Most likely at the NAFA meet.

I just fired off a Check for one this morning plus his hood saver...I'll give a report when it arrives and I have a chance try it on a bird.
