yea i know a guy that had a hatch back car and he jsut used a perch in the car with the bird hodded. There are alot of longwingers that do it. but i think it works better for them bc the poop drops strait down not shots. it can be kinda messy with a rt in the car.

I used a block perch in the car with both my red tails. They rode on it hooded and did great.

Only if you want the windows painted from the inside.

Both of my Harris's use a modified perch set up in the back seat of my truck. It is basicly a 2x12-4 ft long with feet to stand it upright with the astro turf on it. They do fine on it aside from the occational slice across the center console..... Now I have a Range Rover and the birds can sit on their own blocks in the very back to avoid any stray slices.

I have a Ford Ranger ex cab and mt RT used to sit on the passanger head rest when hooded. My HH sits there with out the hood but the RT would bate at the window so he had to wear the hood. I have the seat and back covered to catch the slice but they don't slice in the truck much unless it's an earlt morning trip. Michael Beran

Just use the hood and get those slices...Only troubles I had!

A giant hood is the best option unless you do like I do and line the whole back seat area with blankets and towels. It looks like a homeless shelter in my back seat of my new truck.....but no slices so far!

Yeah, that works great until you are crashed into by someone else. When transporting your bird a giant hood is the safer choice. Yarak
