Alright, who uses them? I use one since my bird is teathered in a weathering area. It's not a leash but is a short bungee that I have attached to the ring of the bow perch and snap into the birds sampo. It's about 6inches long and I tie the leash about eight inches. It works great and has enough spring in it to take the shock off the bate but dosen't pull back on the bird.

My sponsor uses one and I think they are a good idea for those hard baters as it takes an awful lot of stress off the birds legs.

My entire leash on my outside perch is bungee cord. I tie it in a wrap around noose type knot that tightens when pulled and make sure there's a small knot in the end of the cord. Every book I've read early in the game suggested to use some type of lastic cord on the perch leashes to ease the tramua on the birds legs. A bird that bates a lot will break a leg sooner or later with repeated jumps.
