Just wanted to show off my latest perch design for my Kestrel. I'm going to make a much bigger design for a larger falcon soon. I made this on my Oliver wood lathe. It's a vintage 50's model lathe that take up space in my garage. The top piece is Koa Wood from Hawaii, The middle is Spalted Maple, and the bottom is Cherry. Bob Ritchie Orem, UT

Yeah, I'm going to try marine varnish on the next one. I want a surface that's easily cleanable. I put an old towel around the base of this one while she rides in the car on it. She likes cruising and looking out the windows.

I like your perch. I let my girl look out the windows too. But her ride isn't so nice, pvc from the U.S., and plywood from someplace, as well as some astroturf from china....I think.

Nice work on the block. I have been thinking of trying my hand at that as well, gotta make some room for the old man's lathe though.
