Looks like we are done for the season, Padme' was biten by a grey squirrel yesterday and does not have use of her left middle toe. She is at the vet now waiting to see if it's broken bones or cut tendon.
Thing that sucks is I normally put cuffs on the birds when squirrel hawking but since we were in a patch of greys I didn't think they were needed ........wrong!

Man I hate to hear about that, keeps us informed. Hopefully it is not as bas as you think. I was changing Abby back and forth from chaps to anklets, but 1 got tired of the hassle and 2 was worried she would run across a squirrel and not be wearing them.

Squirrel chaps would not have made any difference as Padme' had the squirrel by the head and it turned around in her grip and bite her from underneath her foot.
She is doing much better now, the splint is off and she is moving the toe some. It almost will curl up when she tucks her foot up now.
