I'm working on the funds part. I also have the avian vet conference in Monteray, CA in Aug so I have to save a lot of dough. Party on Wayne!

im going to try to go but... i would be going alone so that will cost alot more than you guys that have someone else going to split the cost or what not. anyone that wants to try to share a room or car pool or something (any one from TX) it would probally be easier for me to go but i am going to try. more than likely none of the other falconers in the lubbock area will be going.

I already have a full room. I am bunking with a couple of falconers from Minnesota and they have three birds and two dogs as well as my two dogs, two birds plus the wife and I(not to mention all of the stuff my wife insists on bringing with : ....It's a full house here or I would of taken you in. There are quite a few falconers from Texas going and so Maybe one of them will have room for ya. I may have an extra room if anyone is interested...No promises yet, but it looks as though one couple in our group may cancel....

I live 4 hours away in Orem, Utah so I'll be there for a day or two. I can't get away for much more than that.
What can I expect to see at a NAFA meet? Is it like the sky trials?
I'm a newbie so please respect the dumb question.

Bob, you'll see a lot of diffrent types of raptors/hunting styles. You'll get a pretty good preview on what falconry is all about. So many chances to see diffrent birds taking game. Get to talk to Masters in the sport and make new friends all over the U.S/World.

...and drink yourself stupid each night in the hot tub with 15 other folks......It's great fun......Sort of like a bunch of fishermen when they start telling lies to each other....The S**t can get pretty deep in there sometimes....."Oh yea, well my bird caught twice that number!"
