Just got home and my OK license was in the mail. I just sent in the paper work on Tues afternoon...... I spoke to Camille and she just laughed when I asked her what the turn around was, not a good sign. She did say that if I included a fax number and an email address that it would be quicker. I'll let you know when it gets here. Of course you might hear the hunting call (loud war whoop) first.......

Yep...sounds about right. The state is typicaly reaslly fast, but here lately the feds have been pretty backed up.

That's what Camile told me, that she could email my stuff and I could just print it out. But I don't have a computer at home or work, I'm typing this at the library. But when she's ready, I think I may ask my boss if I can have it faxed to my work. I'm itchin to trap my bird!

Heck I can print it for you, or you can also get some place like kinkos to accept faxes for you.

I was on vacation for 3 days last week and missed the fax. It was sent on October 19th. Only 8 days from when it was sent in. I guess the extra $50 on the wine bottle helped......just kidding. Pretty fast though. I'll post my mews pictures in the mews section and also, built a bal chatri over the weekend and will take a few pictures to post. I'll let you know how trapping goes also.
By the way, I mentioned including the email address, I thought that was for telling me the fax was on the way, but I didn't get an email to let me know.

Anybody have the pdf of the Migratory Bird Acquisition and Disposition form 3-186a? I have tried to get to the fws web site to get it and keep getting errors. Appears the web site is having problems or something. If so, send me personal message and I'll give you an email address to send it to.

I didn't know you could do that as it is a form in Quadruplicate. Two to the feds, one to the state and one for your records. I do know that Jennifer can mail them to you if you call her in Austin

Can you give me Jennifer's phone number? Is she from the Tx FWS? I'm in Oklahoma, will that be a problem?

I actually talked to Kamile yesterday and she asked if I had tried to get it off of the web page. So appearantly that is acceptable if you make the appropriate copies. She told me that she sent my "official" copy of the Federal Fish and Wildlife Permit and included some of the forms. Since she had already sent them I didn't think to ask questions about the web version.
