The one in the pics of the whitetail with the wood stock and silver barrel (mine) is a 7mm .08 XD

It is a spotted axis. They come from India but are free ranging in many parts of the state. They are pretty much a staple on most exotic ranches. I have killed one bigger, just didn't have a photo. ET
