I think I posted this on FB's forums and we came to the conclusion that it was a roadside hawk. But don't quote me on that, I can't remember what it was.

I will bet its a male based on size relative to lizard. It is in mature plumage. It is a Red-Shouldered hawk.

ouch that hurts froot!! no im not going to go. I am going to go visit my dad in alabama and do some fishing. Its the only time he could get off work and i havent seen him in over a year so i opted for that instead of the picnic. Have fun and drink some for me!
