My bird was introduced to dogs as soon as she came home and saw them everyday but one day she flew down and nailed my jack russell puppy and I had to get her off it then happend again about 1 week later so now I cant hunt them together which is a shame because he is becoming a great rabbit dog do you think it will change next year or is it a lost cause?

My sponsor has his JRT sit with him and the bird during manning.
Earlier this season, the bird would sometimes get frustrated after a miss and grab the dog's ass. When this happens, he calls the bird to the fist, hoods her, waits for a rouse, and then puts her back up.
This gets the bird out of "ass-grab" mode. The two of them get along beautifully now.

It's really amazing to watch the two animals work with eachother. If the bird doesn't see anything, she'll fly over to the dog's area and vice versa.
Plus, the dog frees us up a bit. We can just lean on our sticks and watch, instead of constantly beating and shaking.

That dog is amazing! I watched it climb up the inside of a tree!

Redtails are easier to work with dogs than Harris Hawks, HH's hate K-9's due to the whole wild cyote ate my nest thing, goes back a long way.......
There are ways to work a dog into the picture but you have to really want it to work, like anything else you can't half heartedly make it happen.
