If you know anyone in the south Texas area who would love a 13 month old, female border collie as their hunting dog, I have one to offer.
She was abandoned on our street 2 weeks before we moved to Kingsville. We took her in but in a 2 bedroom apartment she is not only feeling cramped but we believe my son is allergic to her. He has had sinus infections on and off since we got her.
My wife works all day and goes to college at night.
I attend college during the day and watch our 3 year old at night.
She isn't getting the proper exercise a working dog needs and I feel for her.
I am also worried about my sons health, last week the doctor thought his eardrum might rupture due to an ear infection caused by a previous sinus infection.
We took her to the vet and got her rabies shot. She was treated for worms and fleas and the vet believes she has been fixed. The vet said that the operation probably only removed her ovaries since her scar is pretty high up.
She is great with our 3 year old son and out cats. She LOVES people and is a very smart little dog. Sometimes too smart. We trained her on an e-collar and she knew when the batteries died. She listens to commands and appears easy to train.
We have only had her for about 3 months now so her training is far from complete. She is mostly house broken and will let you know when she needs to go out.
I hope someone out there can help find a home for this beauty.
