Yup, there will be a 4x4' skylight above the far window perch.

Great job! extra slice of pie for Dodes! Looks really solid built! What are you doing for a weathering area?

The two windows with the skylight above should allow my bird plenty of weather exposure. My sponsor actually calls it a "weathering chamber", not a mew. The inside will be painted flat white, to enhance the sunlight inside the chamber, and will allow me to grow plants on the floor.

The metal is actually quite cool even in the summer. There is a rehad center in Lubbock that has a very large flight made mostly out of metal and it is suprisingly cool in there even in the summer.

Sweet looking mews Dodes!!! The Game warden will do a basic measurment check to make sure it it at least close, but I wouldn't think that they would measure to a few inches......Who knows though....they might get bored.

Anyone notice that the door is upside-down? That's so the bird can't perch on it as I enter (it swings out, not in). The tin roof doesn't seem to make any temperature difference whatsoever. It feels the same outside as it does inside the chamber.
