Cast of Longwings

Anyone have any experience with flying longwings in a cast? Or know of someone and has a story to share?

I don't know anyone personaly that has flown a cast of LW's but I know that lots of folks do this with Merlins and I have heard of folks doing it with all sorts of big falcons too.

You know at least 2 people weasel. CD and RC have both flown casts of merlins.

I know of one that tried a pair of Pere-lins last year. Female and male.
In a hot pursuit of a lark, they went to ground. He was so happy ;D, running to them, seeing all the feathers flying , was the first catch for the two juves! The thrill! The excitement! The disappointment! :'(To find the female happily ripping the breast from the male.

so what the female killed the male or just wanted that part of the lark. specifiy!!!

That is very sad. I wonder if that happens often. I wonder what can be done to prevent it. Like raising them together and training them in sight of each other and other techniques that might preven such an unforunate event. Any ideas?

I has hoping some one here might know what went wrong ?
They were not raised together but were being flown together . Both were having a problem when the pray would go to ground, not being able to locate it on the ground .
We had talked about this before and was trying to work out a solution with the male, when some one else suggested he get a second bird to fly with it . So he got a female , she seem to have the same problem, :oloosing the pray if it went to ground! ?
This is some info I would be inserted in as I plain to fly a hybrid in a couple years . I will get another Harris or two next summer so I plain to wait a while on the hybrid but I may change my mind by then , if I have one left! ?
