I've seen several books that talk about raptor health in detail, all around $100 or more. Any suggestions on which oneI should get? This is prpbably a Q for the Great Raptor DR, (I forgot his name).
Also what is a good ID book for learning the different raptor species? I understand that is a big thing on the test.

Petersons field guide will help greatly. I carry one in my truck and after one season it is already really worn out hehe.

Second Edition is best, imho. I seen the first one and don't like it. Sec Ed. is much more user friendly.

Petersons is the best. I also bought the book "Raptors in flight" It gives detailed descriptions of the birds as they look from underneath.

For medical help, go to this site. www.themodernapprentice.com/ This site listed has tons of medical information on it. This is the best site for information on careing for a raptor and other falconry information. and I reccomend that anyone new to the sport, read this site from top to bottom. The only thing that is not related to many of us is the Washington state laws she talks about.

Clark and Wheelers "Photographic Guide to North American Raptors" is the best field guide for IDing raptors. Each photo tell where and what month the bird was photographed. It contains weight and wing measurements as well as distribution. Great quality shots excellent printing format. It has proven invaluable. Yarak
