anyone use these, any good things or bad things about them. I was thinking that they wouldnt be as big as regular anklets and may be more comfortable. mabe we could start a thread on them.

Thinner anklets aren't always better for larger birds. It focuses more pressure on a small portion of leg. Think about the impact pressure of a bate to legs (prevents brakes). The little bit larger anklets spread out the pressure on the legs. I even add a bugee to the leash that takes a little of the momentum out of the bate.-Zach

Hmmm, purhaps they're meant for a made bird that doesn't bate as much anymore? I've met Steve Layman on several occations and even got the chance to sit at the breakfast table with him at a winter meet. He is a very intellegent man and I can't imagine he would do something that could cause harm to a bird. There must be a reason for these anklets that just hasn't occured to us yet.
