I'm posting this under equipment because squirrel chaps are so important in Louisiana Hawking, last year not using squirrel chaps cost me $750 dollars and the loss of the use of one of Padme's toes. I just installed this furniture on the birds earlier this week and boy am I glad I did! Just look at theses two PICs of what the squirrel did to ME! Of course my philosophy is that I heal faster than my birds can so I'm quick to jab my finger in a squirrels mouth and prevent it from biting down on my birds upper leg. This is the worst squirrel bite I have ever received and it hurt so bad I involuntarinessly let out a curse word! It hurt worst than I have been hurt in a very long while. The squirrels teeth went right through my thumb nail and out the thumb print side, then the bugger bit me between the web of my thumb and fore finger and then bit me in the thumb nail again before I could get it under control. So if you think squirrel chaps are too cumbersome just look at the damage to them from squirrels just today. my hats off to Francie Forrester for making a set of chaps small enough for a male HH yet tough enough that the squirrels could not bite all the way through to the leg!
