I didn't even have a bird and I still had a blast! Lots of wonderful people to visit with. I wanted to go hawking with the couple from Indiana and see their 21 year old RT fly, but missed it. Went along with the longwingers on the way home and saw 4 ducks die, that was cool. The raffle was awesome, I think the whole room was teary eyed about the donations that went to Debbie's wildlife center, and Brad Woods presention on Japanese falconry was a real hit. Something tells me there's gonna be alot more people trying Harris's on ducks next year...

The field meet was a huge success all around. More game than anyone had imagined going out there. Excellent nightly activities. Kudos to the THA members for raising just over $600 for SPWRC in Rick Tennyson's name. The raffle raised just over $3800 for the club. It was great to see everyone out there. Goose finally caught a rabbit on the last day of the meet. It was #73 for the year. She just was not herself all weekend so we'll just have to see how the rest of the week goes back at home.

I would like to thank all those involved for such a great organized time. I did not have a bird either, but had a great time with my sponsor. The raffle was great, and the food and Brads talk was cool. I also got to go see a long wing on ducks Thursday, also got to see the benefit of telemetry when a resident Prairie falcon chased off Jim,s peregrine. Had a blast, look forward to next year with my own RT.

I was speechless (highly unusual for me). You are the best and I can't thank you enough! Good times In Abilene and Krys the raffle rocked! deb
