Congrats CC Glad you are on this side of the test. Are you going to try to trap a bird before the season is over? or will the permits make it in time you think? Solstice

Congrats on the test.
For those of you who are in Texas who studied using the California Hawking Apprentice Study guide, I was wondering if you found that any of the areas in the book weren’t heavily tested?
I’m studying using flashcards made from the guide and I was wondering if there are any particular areas I should devote less time to.
Thanks.

Well, I think that you need to know everything in that book. I did just like you and made every question a flash card and went through it until I could get 100% correct. That being said there were 15-20 questions I had NO clue how to answer. It was things that were either very old or very obscure.
I think if you study that book and print off the regs you will be fine, I was anyway.

Remember the study guide and the online test only covered about 75% of the stuff on my test. Be sure and read a few of the masters books. IMHO

Thanks for the feedback. That’s pretty much what I figured, but I just wanted to see if there was an area not covered as much. No biggie, just a few more packs of flashcards.

The problem with saying what was or wasn't on the test is hard as there are four versions that they have available in Texas alone. I remember that mine was Test C and my ex-wifes was Test B. When I finished with my test, I went throught the study guide and marked all the questions that I remembered being on the test....the ex did the same and they where not the same at all.

Hi I live in Utah and I went on Utah division of wildlife to look at some falconry rules and I saw a rule that said you could only take the test 2 months prior to your fourteenth birthday is that true.

I don't know what I need to do about the test, I've done some studying but I don't think I have all the information, some help would be greatly appreciated for the Utah falconry test.
