Anyone here still hunting this season? The season is still young. There's at least another 2 months to be had.

ok the story with the dirt bike. aparently this kid im guesting about 18 was watching my bird fly for about an haour in a feild i hunt regularly. (never seeing me??) then when my rt dove off of a tale h pole to catch a c tail he thought it would be cool to race out of nowhere and just "scare" my rt away!! (that what he told me but i think he was trying to kill it) and haveing already eaten a large crop full (i lost him when he went down in the brush) he started to fly and fly and fly but not away, up. i do hunt him from a soar sometimes but not this high he was just a speck in the sky. after about 30 mins staying just above, me throwing the lure like mad he finally came back down to his kill (i told the kid i was going to start shooting if he didnt leave (i do carry a pistol bc of wild dogs weve had a prob with) and he had alredy left. so thats the story..

I hunted here in texas until the end of May last year! I'll do the same this year unless I lhave unforseen circumstance. He molted cleanly and my first hunt this season was September 10th. Kurt

"...still has a tail left."?? Those jacks kickin' her tail out from under her? I figure if she breaks her tail feathers hunting, you know she's a hard hunting bird, you just don't want her breakin em for any other reason...

I try to hunt her three times a week or more. Haven't had any real snow this year to break down the brush. I've already imped in one tail and she's in need of another. I've made changes to her mews to try to prevent damage but today she slipped on a rabbit in heavy cover and broke two more. Right now I'm trying to run down some more feathers.

Hey Becky, How is that little rocket of a falcon doing? Sorry to hear about the Gos, hope it's doing OK. ...And no, this site unfortunatly does not have a built in spell checker. I am looking into adding one on though
