I don't see how it can be any less legal than throwing seed out for passerines. As long as no one can accuse you of trying to trap or harass it.

the only reason i ask is because i mentioned some clip from funniest home videos about some persons pet mouse or hampster and how all the sudden it got snatched by a hawk and they said something about "attempting to trap a raptor". I have heard of a guy in Maryland who has a kestrel feeder. He conditions the birds to taking live mice from an old aquarium every once in a while during he summer and fall months and when it is really cold and snowy he will put mice out for his resident kestrel to help it trough the bad weather. Speaking of which it is March first and we are having a blizzard riht now. allready have 10 inches of snow and coming down steady.

....Ice?.....This is usually enough to shut down the metroplex and cause widespread panic in the grocery stores down here in Texas!......Folks running to the store to buy extra milk, TP and bottled water for the "BIG ONE". Hundreds of wrecks and the Hospitals will be full....and this is before it snows!!....It usually snows/ices for a few hours and is melted away in just as long about once a year if we are lucky..... .

A couple of years ago snow covered the metroplex for a couple days. My friends and I were the only souls on the road there. Safest driving conditions I've ever seen in DFW.

I learned how to drive on snow in Maine and Iceland. I l was stationed there for five years in a little city called Brunswick. I 've spent about a year total in Iceland on deployments. Maine is colder than Iceland and gets more snow. nuts now, I probally drive better on snow than most Mainerds J/K
Blue! I don't want to hear it from you. Last year this time it was around -13 for weeks up there. Quite being a wussey!

WEll, it has been down to 25 below zero a few times this winter and last winter i had the pleasure of a whole week of 25 below zero , daytime temps! and let's not forget the windchill! WEll, i was inside in a cottage most of that time ..had to keep the salamander running 45 minutes, turn off for 5, run for 45 minutes... Dont worry though, when it got to a balmy 15 below i got to work outside again!

d**n, i was playing with my new puppy in the back yard in nothing but shorts today. I will never understand why people choose to live in cold climates.
