Did you handicap the call ducks at all, like clipping their wings? Instill some confidence in an easy kill....

Nope but these particular call ducks weren't exactly the wildest things I've seen....they'd barely run when I chased they around yelling Ho HO HO....she just watched the 1st one run around for 3-4 minutes before finanly committing to it...the 2nd and last time I tried it she finally slammed it after I chased it for about 10 seconds and only after it opened its wings and flapped a bit.
She is wed pretty heavily to Rabbits I think....

Head counts as of this weekend is 17 GreySquirrels. Ruger caught one more before the weather moved in. Though, I did see another cottontail and almost added him to the list. Thats the secound cottontail I've seen in Florida. Too bad there isn't more of them around here.

Both cotton tails and squirrel are way down here in Mass. I am up to 5 bunnies, 6 squirrels, a rat, a snake, and tons of mice/moles/voles. Seems low to most, but is actualy considered a good season here in Mass, and its not over yet.
Around here the best rabbit hawkers call a good season 15-20 kills. This year has been worse than normal, expecialy with the snow they just sit right next to their holes. I was down on Cape Cod a week ago dropping off my bird for vacation and my sponsor was telling me how he finaly got his first bunnie in 2 weeks, I found this amazing as this is a faloner who usaly takes over the 20 rabbit kills a season.

Well Iam done for the year Iam seeing to many babies out and on their way so Iam calling it a year my total for my first season as a falconer is 15 squirrels,5 rabbits, and 1 mallard duck. It wasnt the headcount I was hoping for and I still have another month to hunt but I feel its not fair to the game they need their full energy to raise their young and thus ensure another good year for me.
