That term, Boozer, comes from the term bowser. This means a bird who drinks alot of water or Bowsing which means a raptor is drinking. Another term is codger as in " You old codger!" This term comes from the word Cadger. This was the person who carried the falcon cadge and this job was generally given to the older members of the hawking group.

In the UK we say .........Can I cadge a lift or can I cadge a cigarette..........This is because ,at the end of a hunting morning with the Upper class, the Cadgeman would sell his stories at the local public house for pennies to purchase Ale......Nothing Changes ;D

You forgot to mention Caddy, as in golf...which is still a very similar job only it's carried out by young instead of old these days.... ;D As well as Old Hag.... coming from haggard.

Yep.............Its not a term I know.....to ring up.....But,yeah,its the same thing. A Falcon needs to go round and round in circlles and finally get her pitch before you let the pointers go in... NEXT ONE.........................................................................................................Left Right And Centre..Mmmmmmm?
