Don't know where this is, but is a metal roof a good idea? Just seems that it would be too hot in the summer, especially without any shade trees.

I plan on planting a new tree to shade the south side of the mews. Possibly two fruit trees. I won't be keeping a bird thru the moult this next year so the tree(s) should have a change to grow a bit.

The chamber looks great! What color you going to paint it? Just watch out that your bird dosen't try to sit on that window division. It might cause him to think that he can perch up there.

I thought a light color would be nice. I'm also going to put some trim on it. First I have to add the second section and get the doors on. What color would you suggest. I was thinking white and then have the kids draw flowers and kid pictures on the side and maybe put up a sign like "private fort" or "ritchie playhouse" or something...

Then it can be a stealth falconry chamber. I would suggest anything light in color. I really like the base! how much did those cost ya? I bet them things weighed a ton. what did you cut those with a Chainsaw?

What I was getting at is the nieghborhood looks like the type that would have a nieghborhood association or something like that that has rules about what can and can't be built.

I bet them things weighed a ton. what did you cut those with a Chainsaw? The tie rails were 6.00 each so 1.00 pr foot. They weigh about 100 lbs each and they are solid as heck. I cut them with a chainsaw, nailed them together at som points with metal plates which had holes all over them (found at Home depot). I dailed the wood into the ground with 2 foot pieces of rebar They had 1/2 inch holes drilled in them already. It took a while to level them first, but my sponsor has something like this and they have lasted 20+ years. Bob

It's a regular neighborhood. This is a nice part of utah. It's right at the base of the mountains. Several neighbors do have sheds. This one , not being painted yet, sort of stands out as different, but I think my neighbors think I stand out as different too.
A few know what I'm up to. I'm sure they think I'm insane.
I'm sure to be labled as an unconventional Mormon.
